In the academic year 2013-2014, the Centre ran the following events:
- 20th November 2013: co-hosted, with the History Department of the University of Essex, Dr Filippo di Vivo at a research seminar where he spoke on ‘Heart of the state, site of tension: The archival turn viewed from early modern Venice’
- 21st March 2014: ran a successful training event on ‘Making the Most of Special Collections: unlocking the secrets of early printed books’
- 15th-19th September 2014: held the first Latin Summer School, with teaching by Prof. Paul Gwynne (American University at Rome) and Dr David Rundle
In addition, members of the Centre were invited speakers in Britain, mainland Europe, the Americas and Australasia.
